My One day New Mexico fishing license yields big catch. What a day at Grindstone Lake at Ruidoso New Mexico. Arrived at the lake at about 10am armed with worms and Power Bait Debbie and I rig up with a couple of split shots and a salmon egg hook baited with a worm cast out from the comfort of our folding outdoor chair and in about 10 minutes the fun begins first in with a Trout of about 6 inches is Debbie and just a minute later I pull in a trout just a little larger Trout. That is great our first two fish in about 15 minutes of fishing ( as far as I am concerned I have already had a Great day fishing) But wait till you here the rest of it. We start catching and releasing trout of all sizes from about 6 inches to about 20 inches and over the next 5 hours we have caught 27 trout of course they all went back to fight another day. So at 3 pm with sunburned arms and faces (we forgot the damn sunblock in the truck) we pack up our gear place the day in our memory banks forever and leave the beauty of Grindstone Lake Having had the Best One Day Fishing Trip of Our Lives
Happy Fishing

Wow what a day Fishing
Just thought I would share with everyone. I just had a friend text me from Ute Lake and told me he had caught in 33 catfish in 4 hours. I didn't want to be the only one that was sitting around feeling sorry for my self(lol). If I get more details I will let you know the technique and quality of fish.

Unusual Catfish Bait
Here are a few Catfish baits you may not have thought to use, Just for fun give one of them a try next time you go out to that favorite fishing hole, The biggest thing you should remember is that Catfish are opportunistic feeders,So with that in mind some of these baits may not sound so Far fetched
1. Try about a one inch square piece of Ivory soap Threaded on a Hook I have read that it could be a very effective bait.
3. And Finally try a little Bazooka Bubble or Bubble Yum, Chew it just a little before you bait your hook but don,t chew out all the flavor then rig it on a hook use as little of a sinker as necessary to get it to the strike zone and wait for results
As always make sure you have a great day fishing and always remember that a "Bad Day Fishing is Always better than a good Day at work"

2.You can also Try Raisins or white Grapes for a hot water hot weather day of fishing as the raisins sit in the water the puff and put off an odor, According to Catfish Guide Phil King, they are used mostly on trout lines but also lend well to rod and reel fishing.

Rapala Fishing Lures
Test Your Knowledge about Rapala Fishing Lures take a short informative Quiz at My Lens Click Here
Rapala lures are one of the most realistic looking lures you can buy. An ingenious fisherman created
the first Rapala lures in the 1930s. After observing the habits of fish in the waters of Finland, he
realized that big fish eat wounded little fish. He created a lure that wiggled and wobbled in the water
and he started catching more and more fish. And to this very day all Rapala lures that are made are
hand tuned and water tested to make absolutely certain that they swim in perfect harmony right out of
the box. Actually, no lure holds more records for the biggest fish caught than Rapala lures. These
lures are made of Balsa wood; Balsa trees are found primarily in Central and South America. Read More at My Website

Fishing tips, Survival Skills
Why do Anglers Need survival skills?
Anglers are special a breed of men and women that will go to far off remote locations to search for that once in a lifetime catch. You could end up on a mountain top along a stream that no one knows exist or you could be off shore chasing that salt water catch of a lifetime. Maybe you will be in a country that is foreign to yours, with different cultures or languages you are not custom too. Anglers prepare for the hunt by learning all they can learn about the particular fish they are going after, Anglers prepare for there quest by purchasing the very best in gear and fishing tackle.
But here is a question for you the Angler. Are you prepared to survive a sudden storm when you are alone and out in the middle of no where? If you encounter a Natural Disaster have you got the knowledge to prevail against nature? If you should injure yourself while angeling do you know how to take care of yourself until you can get the attention you need without going into a panic? And finally what if you were to get lost and night time came along and the skys would not reveal the stars too you due to clouds. Are you truly prepared for any occasion.
I hope that this little post has jarred the thought process for those Anglers that have not thought of all the possibilities. You have to be prepared for anything if you want your trip to be a Fabulous Memory. Not a disaster that makes it your last.
I have just found a Book online “Ultimate Survival: Secrets to Staying Alive… Anywhere… Anytime!” that has the answers to these Questions and more there is a link were you can purchase your copy at my website FISHING-BUDDIES.INFO or just pop over to my site and explore the tips and video's on fishing.

Fishing Tip, Dont do this
I went fishing last weekend, had a great time with my new ugly stick that is one cool little fishing rod. But here is the thing. You know when you have been working all week and then you go fishing on Sunday you are really tired when you get home and you
don't want to do anything but rest. Well here is something you don't want to do and that is leave the dang stink bait and liver in the trunk of the car at about 100 degrees. I had to rip the dang liner out of the trunk to get the stench to stop. So I just thought you might enjoy someone else's misery.
Happy Fishing.
PS. and no one has to say here's your sign I get it
