Todays fishing tip is about Streamers for Trout, Bait fish are the major part of a big Trouts diet, and thats why minnow like flies are so popular among Fly Fisherman. The Stringer consist of an extra long hook and have long hair. Although most do not resemble a specific bait the most popular is the Muddler which does resemble real bait fish. Streamers work by creating attention of the trout through their color and flash and darting action. I hope todays Fishing Tip, Streamers for Trout has been helpful in selecting the proper fly for the catch

Fishing Tip, Take a Day off and Go Fishing

Took a day off and went fishing Yesterday, Spent the day At Sumner Lake At Ft Sumner New Mexico. Took some good old worms and put them on a hook tied a slip sinker on with a split shot giving that worm some wiggle room about 10 " from the slip sinker. Rigged my Wifes line the same way and tossed them out into the water. Well the result was my wife started reading her book and pretty soon she was hauling in a 16" walleye. I kept trying this and that and the other thing. I pulled in a couple of little 6" bass, In the mean time I had put another worm on for my wife and she was back to reading that book and what you Know she got a strike and pulled in a 17" walleye. Great day fishing all in all I could watch my wife catch fish all day( she didn't come with a new boat though:). The moral of the story is buy yourself a good Johanna Lindsay Romance Novel ( No Choice But Seduction

Fishing Tip, Best Trout Bait
The Best Trout Bait is natural bait. Natural bait appeals to the Trouts keen sense of smell as well as being a visual stimulate. When fishing in dark, muddy water it is important to attract trout via smell, also cold water fishing lends well to Natural bait because the hatch of insects slows down so natural bait becomes the food of choice.
One thing to be aware of when using natural bait is the way you set it up, all that is really needed when using natural bait is a small split shot and a small hook. This lends well to angling due to the fact the fish swallows the hook and all you have to do is cut it free leaving the hook to naturally dissolving from the trout, This means you wont be tearing the mouth of the fish or injuring it in any form. Good luck fishing in the natural (put your clothes back on I meant natural fish bait) which is the BEST TROUT BAIT

OK hear it goes If you are fishing of the bottom for catfish or walleye go ahead and set your hook into your plastic worm as you normally would and don't forget your normal sinker and (drum roll please) then take a hypodermic syringe with a really small needle and pump the tail of the worm full of air so that it will suspend of the bottom of the lake or pound. (OK so it dosen't take much to get me excited) I had never heard of the air up your plastic worm Fishing tip before but my friend says it works. I will be trying it this weekend and will get back with you and lets you know the results.

Fishing tips, Fly Reel Terminology
When picking a fly reel, some fly reel terminology is useful.
Almost any fly reel will do when selecting your gear for doing some stream trout fishing, however if you hook a big trout you will probably wish you had spent a few extra bucks and a little more time looking for a good Fly reel.
Here is a little fly reel terminology for you to use when shopping for your Stream Fly fishing adventure.
Size\capacity you should have a a large enough reel to hold the line you will use plus 150 yards of Dacron 20 to 30 pound.
Type of Action. Action means the rate at which the reel retrieves line such as 1-1 in a single action reel, or 3-1 in a multiplying reel.
Type of Drive Most reel sold are direct Drive which is adequate in most cases but the will rapidly spin backwards when the trout is running and if you touch the handle the sudden stop could break the line. (that trout wins).Anti reverse reels use a clutch keeping them from spinning backwards there for creating a drag.
Material Most reels are made of stamped aluminum or graphite and are a great match for todays rods. You can get a much better reel machined from aluminum alloy, that far exceed the cost and precision of the stamped reels.
I hope fly reel terminology will be a benefit to you when you begin your shopping for your first or next Fly reel

fishing tip, top water lures
Top Water Lures
Win Free Fishing Tackle Click here
Did you know that Top Water lures are best used when water temperature climbs to around 55 degrees and above. Best time of course to use a top water bait is during prespawn when Bass are the most aggressive. Its important to remember that not all bass spawn at the same time, So you could have some luck during prespawn also.
The best method for using top water is just making sure you are irritating the bass to create a natural response from them.
During the summer months fish your top water around weed beds. Then during the fall locate the primary forage such as minnows, crawfish etc. Then let your topwater do its magic

Fishing tips , Color matters
A couple of fast tips on color matters concerning fishing lures
Did you know that green holds its color for the greatest distance under water, and red disappears faster than any other color under water
So when fishing remember that the fish can locate your green lure from a great distance, this can attract fish further away to your lure.
Red on the other hand which disappears as the viewing distance increases, could prompt a strike as it disappears from the view of the fish.

Fly fishing tip Keep an eye on the Fly
Fly fishing tip, ever have problems keeping that fly in site in dark Water. Add a spot of bright color to the top of the fly. The fish seldom see the top of the fly so you really dont have to worry about spooking the fish. A couple of ideas is to use a pantone pen or a bright piece of foam.
