Fishing Tip, Dont do this

I went fishing last weekend, had a great time with my new ugly stick that is one cool little fishing rod. But here is the thing. You know when you have been working all week and then you go fishing on Sunday you are really tired when you get home and you
don't want to do anything but rest. Well here is something you don't want to do and that is leave the dang stink bait and liver in the trunk of the car at about 100 degrees. I had to rip the dang liner out of the trunk to get the stench to stop. So I just thought you might enjoy someone else's misery.

Happy Fishing.

PS. and no one has to say here's your sign I get it

Fishing Tips, Teach a Kid to Fish

Teach a Kid to Fish, Do you remember your first fishing trip as a kid, It is one of the most vivid memories I have from my Child Hood.

Have you taught a kid to fish? I have taught several to fish and you just can not come up with stories like wadding in a Mississippi Pound in the Winter to retrieve a pole you just got a boy for his birthday and instead of waiting for you to teach that first cast. His cast landed that brand new Zebco® 202® Spincast Combo in the middle of the pond.

Go on Teach a Kid to Fish and make some Memories for you and them.

Fishing tip, How to Fillet a Trout video

I am a visual Learner so I dug up this video at You Tube on Filleting Trout so that I could watch it and felt compelled to share it with any one that reads my blog.

Fishing Tip, Defining Wet versus Dry fly

A wet fly is designed to be fished below the water surface and resemble any Number of Dead insects that have gotten wet and are floating down stream.

A dry fly is designed to float on top of the water and is best when it resembles the current
hatch of insects that is on the river.

Therefore wet fly fishing is becoming more and more popular due to the fact that it is not such an
exact science, even placement of the wet fly to the proximity of the trout is not as crucial.
