1. Try about a one inch square piece of Ivory soap Threaded on a Hook I have read that it could be a very effective bait.
2.You can also Try Raisins or white Grapes for a hot water hot weather day of fishing as the raisins sit in the water the puff and put off an odor, According to Catfish Guide Phil King, they are used mostly on trout lines but also lend well to rod and reel fishing.
3. And Finally try a little Bazooka Bubble or Bubble Yum, Chew it just a little before you bait your hook but don,t chew out all the flavor then rig it on a hook use as little of a sinker as necessary to get it to the strike zone and wait for results
As always make sure you have a great day fishing and always remember that a "Bad Day Fishing is Always better than a good Day at work"

The ivory soap of today is not the same as the ivory soap that used to be used as catfish bait. It was effective then because it was lye soap but the soap of today is no longer a lye soap, so it is rendered inneffective.
